It’s the end of our first year of DJTC events, and we’re excited to reflect back with all of you on the spring semester and what’s coming up. Join us to consider what went well and what you could have improved upon in your spring courses, and chat with the community about how you want to update your course design, syllabi and assessments in the summer.
We’re working on our summer planning in the next several weeks, and we’d love to know what teaching topics you’ve had in your mind lately. Please fill out this form or message everyone in the newsnerdery #data-journalism-teachers-club slack channel to share your ideas!
At NICAR25, we ran the second annual NICAR Scavenger Hunt. Students from schools across the country got the opportunity to interview experienced journalists about concepts they are learning in their data journalism classes! We will be releasing some of the interviews in the upcoming newsletter.
Happy Summer!
